Allen Background

I hold a B.A. (Hons) Degree and a Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have also studied French with the Open University. From 1986 until 1999 I taught English Language and Literature in Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt. During my final year there, I was Head of an English Department for eleven- to fourteen-year-olds.

Since the year 2000 I have been offering private tuition in the United Kingdom and am now carrying this out on a full-time basis. My students have ranged in age from four to near-retirement. Some have been studying with me on a regular basis for two years now and are continuing into a third year.
