    My experience at the American University in Cairo Press has given me a sound basis for proofreading work. More recently, I have been undertaking freelance proofreading work for individual clients.

    I have particular experience in proofreading student dissertations at undergraduate an postgraduate level, both electronically and as hard copy. My subject specialisations include Business, History and English Literature among many others. Much of the work I carry out is for non-native speakers of English, where grammar needs attention as well as spelling, punctuation and consistency.

   As a fluent French speaker and private tutor of French, I am happy to proofread texts in French as well as English. I have experience of proofreading entire books as well as shorter texts such as restaurant menus. I can also work with online material including websites and published PDF files.

   You can send your work to me as an e-mail attachment and I will make the necessary corrections using track changes. This allows you to see exactly what alterations I have made, and to accept them with the click of a mouse.

Pricing: As a general guide, the charge is £5.00 per thousand words. Rates are flexible for unusually large projects, and I would offer students a discount for projects over 10,000 words. Please contact me for a specific quote.
